Privacy policy
This policy explains how Billiamo collects and uses personal data on this waitlist site. Billiamo is currently a pre-launch project. We do not yet offer a live product, store financial data, or hold customer funds. The only data we collect at this stage is the email address and country you provide if you sign up for the waitlist.
Who we are
This site is operated by [YOUR LEGAL NAME], based in [YOUR CITY], Italy. You can contact us at hello@billiamo.app. We are the data controller for the personal data you provide.
What we collect, and why
When you submit the waitlist form, we collect:
- Your email address — so we can contact you about the launch of Billiamo and early access.
- Your country — so we can let you know when Billiamo becomes available in your market.
We do not collect names, payment information, IP addresses tied to your identity, or any sensitive personal data through this form. The legal basis for processing under the GDPR is your consent (Article 6(1)(a)) when you submit the form, and our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) in operating this waitlist.
Analytics & cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use this site — page views, traffic sources, and broad geography. GA4 sets one cookie that helps us measure unique visits.
Consent first. Analytics is loaded with Google Consent Mode v2 and is denied by default. No analytics cookie is set and no data is sent to Google until you explicitly accept via the cookie banner. If you decline (or simply ignore the banner), GA4 stays dormant for you. This choice applies to Google Analytics; the Meta Pixel is described in the next section.
What we don't do. We never sell your personal data, and the email address and country you give us are never shared with advertising platforms. GA4 IP addresses are anonymised.
Your rights. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's storage in your browser — the banner will reappear and you can decide again. You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all sites with Google's official browser add-on.
Google is a US-based provider; international transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Advertising measurement (Meta Pixel)
We use the Meta Pixel to understand whether our ads on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram) bring visitors to this site and lead to waitlist signups. The pixel loads when you visit the site. It sets a cookie and shares standard browsing data with Meta — the pages you visit here, your IP address, and browser information. If you join the waitlist, the pixel reports that a signup happened, but it does not send Meta your email address or country.
Meta may use this data as described in Meta's Privacy Policy. If you have a Facebook or Instagram account, you can review and limit how Meta uses data from sites like ours in your ad preferences. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising at youronlinechoices.eu, or block the pixel with a content blocker. Meta is a US-based provider; international transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Email service provider
Your email address and country are stored in our email service provider (Loops or similar), which processes data on our behalf as a data processor under the GDPR. We have a Data Processing Agreement in place with this provider. Data is stored within the EU or in jurisdictions covered by Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep your data
We keep your email and country until you ask us to delete them, or until Billiamo launches and you've had a chance to decide whether to become a customer. If you don't engage with our launch communications, we will delete inactive waitlist entries after 24 months.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of your data.
- Withdraw your consent at any time.
- Receive your data in a portable format.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@billiamo.app and we will respond within 30 days.
Sharing your data
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share data with our email service provider and analytics provider, both acting as data processors on our behalf, and with Meta through the Meta Pixel as described above. The email address and country you give us are never shared with advertisers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Billiamo grows and adds product functionality. When we make material changes, we will notify everyone on the waitlist by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
