The problem
European freelancers increasingly work with crypto-native clients — agencies, Web3 companies, international SaaS, AI startups. Getting paid in bitcoin or stablecoins is easy. Making it work with your accountant, your VAT, your local e-invoicing system, and your year-end tax filing is where everything breaks.
The tools that exist were built for crypto-native B2B teams, not for freelancers running a partita IVA, a Steuernummer, a SIRET, or a NIF. The result: most people on a bitcoin standard end up tracking cost basis in a Google Sheet, missing tax events, or giving up on bitcoin invoicing entirely.
Billiamo is the fix.
How it works
One product, one brand, one experience across Europe. The crypto layer is the same everywhere. The tax compliance adapts to your country, automatically.
Compliant invoices for every European market we support. Beautiful PDFs your clients trust, in the structured format your tax authority requires.
Payment goes directly from their wallet to yours. Billiamo never touches your money — non-custodial by design, outside MiCA's CASP scope.
Built-in crypto cost-basis ledger with FIFO accounting. Year-end tax pack your accountant can drop straight into your filing — in any European country we support.
Why now
Three things changed in the last 18 months. MiCA came into full force across the EU, giving crypto businesses a clear regulatory framework for the first time. USDC became the first MiCA-compliant stablecoin, opening it up to mainstream European business use. And ViDA — the EU's e-invoicing directive — accelerated mandatory structured invoicing across most member states, with Italy leading the way.
What didn't change: the workflow tools. Bitcoin payment processors still treat freelancers as an afterthought. Accounting software still has no idea what a Lightning invoice is. Tax authorities want structured data your wallet doesn't produce.
Billiamo sits exactly where these three trends meet — modern bitcoin rails, MiCA-compliant stablecoins, and proper European tax compliance, built specifically for freelancers running their business on a bitcoin standard.
Roadmap
We're starting in Italy for two reasons: from January 2026, the 33% crypto capital-gains rate and DAC8 auto-reporting make accuracy mandatory — and Italian SDI is Europe's most demanding e-invoicing system. Here's how we roll out.
Built for Europe
Funds never touch our platform. You stay in control of your bitcoin and stablecoins, always.
Built outside the CASP definition by design. Software, not custody.
Integrated with national systems through licensed partners in every market.
Your data stays in the EU. Full export and delete on request.

"I'm building Billiamo because I'm tired of explaining my crypto invoices to every accountant in Europe. If that's you too — get on the list." — Francesco, founder
